Hawaii Color Palette - Patrick Ching Art Tip - KVIC-TV, myKauai
The Hawaiian color palette is different than those used in other parts of the country.
"People bring the colors of their homeland to Hawaii when painting Hawaii and oftentimes those colors aren't the colors we have here, for example, evergreens are prevalent in north america, so people use a lot of viridians whereas Hawaii has more olivey greens, like sap greens, so those are the colors you want to use when painting Hawaiian Foliage."
