Pairing Wine with Kauai Food - Arugula, Citrus, Eggfruit with Leth, Gruner Veltliner
Princeville Wine Market's Daniel Braun teams up with Grow Culture's Collin Darrell to pair wine with local foods. Today's food: "arugula, citrus to make a vinaigrette, egg-fruit which has a great custard-like texture, and some longan for sweetness."
Daniel has recommended Leth, Gruner Veltliner (Wagram, Austria) 2011 because "It's very refreshing, it's one of the favorite grape varietals of sommelier to pick with food pairings. It goes really well with produce. This one has a lot of honey suckle and green apple aromas coming off of it."
